Hey guys, I have acquired two trucks since august. Ya'll know how it is when you start these projects...they consume you and I love it! I'm restoring my 71 4wd Ranger from frame up which is coming along great. I also just got a 67 2wd shortbed that my brother bought unseen and doesn't want now because he just bought an old mustang. Soo, being the good brother, helping out sure is hard to do sometimes. The main reason for tearing down my 71 was because of all the jerry rigging that I kept finding. The 67...same thing. But, the 67 runs too good (351 w) to tear it down too far AND, I need a truck to drive. So I've been fixing things CORRECTLY one item at a time to get it road worthy. I REALLY have to sit here and wonder...these guys who owned these trucks before me had to graduate from the University of Dumbass with the highest honor... and... obviously, one of the class requirements is to own an old ford truck! How someone can do some of the things you see on these old trucks is pitiful and a disgrace to owning one of these FINE trucks. The wiring on the 67 is something I can't even describe. Make a long story short, the alternator light is on...lights are flicking like crazy...three pieces of wire twisted together to make one for a ground wire. Hmmm...I wonder where to start? I've read some forums on the factory locations for these wires so hopefully I won't have any issues once I get to fix them PROPERLY.
My best friend rags me all the time when he sees me working on something. In my opinion, there are only two ways to do things. It may take a little longer but for pete's sake! Don't even open the hood if your an idiot!!! Just sayin...

I absolutely love this site. So many members are so helpful. It's like we're one big happy family! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
