Solid Metalic Core Wires

Post by 68FORDJBM »

I recently upgraded to electronic ignition and a hotter coil but I recently heard that the newer plug wires (Type HEI supression RFI wires) cause lower voltage to the plug. Should I purchase metalic core wire sets to improve performance and gas milage? Or is this advice only good for points?

With your upgrades you did you are way ahead from stock on power to the plugs, the newer wires are what I would use as they are easier on the electronics and wont give you radio static as solid wires will. My :2cents:
