Hello, I just recently bought a 67 F250. When I bought it, everything worked except the hazard flashers. I decided to put power brakes on it and when I got it back together I noticed the brake lights did not work. I'm not good with wiring at all, pretty much a novice. I used a meter and put one end on a terminal and the other to the body and one of the terminals had power to it. The other problem is that there are no turn signals, I checked and there appears to be power to the flasher at one of the wires. I checked with the turn signal on and with it off, there is always power there. With the truck at a slow idle, it will die when I turn on the headlights. If I rev it a bit while turning the headlights on it won't die.
Where should I begin?
I find it odd that everything worked fine and the only thing I did was add power brakes.
thanks

Well I'm not sure what is going on with the wiring, the turn signals just started working for no reason. So they work but the brake lights still do not work.
Can anyone tell me how to go about testing the circuit?
thanks,
Wade

67 has a different brake light switch than the 68-72 but it should work the same it is a pass through switch. the tss in these trucks go bad after awhile not letting the contacts contact correctly over time. it could be that since the brake light power comes through the turn signal switch that the tss is going bad.
