The chevy owner

My buddy bought a 1980 chevy c10 for $400 out of a junkyard. The junkyard owner said i drove it back there in 2000. The truck didnt smoke it does but it was sitting the gasket are dryed up no problem. He said transmission shifted fine it didnt i thought the transmission was low on fluid it was not but put more in it still didnt shift good. Well about 4500 rpm it would start spinnig and it was on gravel. He told the junkyard owner that the trans was going out he didnt want it anymore. The owner of the junkyard argued with us for 30 mins and we told him to try it himself so we went back there with him he said this truck is nothing wrong with these truck he gets in it trys it nothing no power i asked '' So is that trans good any more." He said "It still is a good trans." I laughed. Why do people think that automatic trans never ruined some do but most dont. I guess them chevy owners.

I think what it boils down to is the junkyard owner didnt want to cough up the $400.

That what i was thinking but then he has a 67 ford truck i ask him the price. He said "You just find something wrong with it and not want it." That made me mad because it has no wheels and no radiator.
