Quiksteel Epoxy putty

Post by socalcraigster »

I have a great deal of rot on the cab that starts by the driver's side above the door and extends about half way around the front of the cab. Essentially it has eaten away all the metal where the drip rail attaches. I also have rot where the rear window mounts and below it.

I found this product Quiksteel. http://www.dual-star.com/index2/Service ... 0Putty.htm

Does anyone know about this product or another of its kind?

I know that I should replace the cab but it is cost prohibitive at this time.

If anyone has has any experience with this kind of product (or any other similar one) please let me know what you think about it.

Also I will post so pictures soon as battery is charged on camera.

its ok.. doesn't work as good as JB weld and it hardens very very fast. it will usually start hardening before i can finish mixing it up.

i use it to patch large holes, so it will probably work for you if you can get it mixed and applied fast enough
