I Am Thinking I Just Should Have Bought An Old Truck!

Post by ford4x4fun »

Since I have bought my truck, it seams like everything is all going out on it. Today I am replacing a wheel hub assembly. Last week it was shocks. Before that all the brake lines, calipers, pads and rotors. I have replaced the Yoke, all the bearings in the rearend, and all the U Joints from there rearend to the tranny. Speed sensors, and a fuel pump once also. I have some rust that is starting to eat away at it, that I have to get to soon, seams I should have done a better job picking out my truck. But I have it now it is mine.

If you had bought another truck, perhaps all this or more could have gone wrong. Perhaps it would have been in better shape when you got it, but yours now has all the new parts in it already that you have done and should not have to worry about for a few years. I prefer to stick with what I have, sure stuff gives out on it. But I know what I have done and what it needs. And I know how I drive it and what kind or areas I take it into, and when I give it servicing.

you must have a truck built in the mid 00s, have spent my last dime on one and could have bought and paid for something else just on repairs ive done to sell it :x . but it runs and drives good so its hard for me to sell when its doing right

That is the exact reason i am tearing mine down to the bare frame, with all new parts of course. I shouldn't have to do weekly replacements for a while...

I could put 3K in the 03' Expedition right now.
Praying I can get it sold to fund my new flat bed before I have to spend that money on it!
