If I was going to do something that crazy I'd go diesel-electric, like a locomotive. Put the Cummins in the bed with a big generator (600 Volt) on it. Then put a big electric motor under the hood in front of the transmission. Power steering pump could also be driven by an electric motor. Electrical accessories would need a step-down converter.

Looked like a pretty truck to start with. I guess I have to say I like it because of the engineering he did to make it all work. I would like to know what it would do in the 1/8th and 1/4 mile. I didn't see that. Be real hard to hook up but then again with the engine sitting over the drive axle might not be. I would have rather seen it not have to use the front engine to run the accessories.
All of that torque and the tall gears that thing should really haul it.
I remember riding with my dad when I was a kid. I took a trip with him whenever I could. We were bob tailing on the W.Virginia turn pike and a kid in a camaro was trying to beat dad out of the toll booth. We were in an old International with a 13sp but don't remember what engine. He started out in about 5th and hit about 3 more gears and we left that kid in the dust. All of that torque, right gearing and no load equals gone.
That is why I like the low compression 460 with 3.00-3.25 gears in my 71 F100. Just a little pressure on the4 peddle and off we go
