Distributor testing

Post by OldRedFord »

Can you test a used distributor to see if it works? I have a points one for a 429/460 and want to run it until I can afford to get a complete duraspark setup.

Why would you need to, put the points and condenser rotor and cap on and go. THe chances for your use of the dizzy causing any problem is rare. The mechanical section even wore out will still work unless it is rusted up.
