Distributor testing
Can you test a used distributor to see if it works? I have a points one for a 429/460 and want to run it until I can afford to get a complete duraspark setup.

Re: Distributor testing
Why would you need to, put the points and condenser rotor and cap on and go. THe chances for your use of the dizzy causing any problem is rare. The mechanical section even wore out will still work unless it is rusted up.

Re: Distributor testing
make sure you are holding on to it real tight when you hook up power to the points and spin it (ha ha).
