does anyone know if the antenna bases are the same from a dent to a bump i need to buy one and want to know which is easier to get

I am not 100% sure, but I believe so. The one on my 72 is a generic part from Advance Auto. I believe most 67+ Ford trucks have basically the same antenna. The plastic piece under the base is different for the different angles on the cowl panels. I'd say the 73+ would work OK though.
