ignition condenser

i am looking for an ignition condenser from a 69 F100. engine is a 302. the condenser on there now has the model number on the bottom: 050A-18801-A & 913 at the bottom. i am looking for a replacement since the wire broke off. i got one from auto zone, but it is smaller than the original and doesnt seem to be working.

Condensers all do the same thing. Some manufacturer's condensers are smaller than others.

What isn't working on it? Is your stereo noisy? There is also a condenser on the voltage regulator.

What is it doing? you may have to adjust the points or it may need new ones... or the condenser you got could be bad, try another one... They are replaced fairly often over the years (usually when the points are replaced) so you wont find an original one

Get a pertronix electronic kit and you won't have to worry about it ever again.

Had mine for 6 years with no problems.
