69 Ranger Power Brake Conversion

I was wondering how hard it would be to have manual brakes upgraded to power brakes? A friend of mine with mechanical experience said it would basicaly be just a matter of installing a Booster. Can anyone tell me whats involved here AND where I can still find Booster kits.

Your friend is correct, installing a power booster is very quick and painless. Just follow the instructions I outlined in THIS THREAD.

Power boosters can be obtained at any auto parts store, but I don't think the brackets to mount it to the firewall would be included. You'd have to get those from a salvage yard.

Keith is correct I converted my 68 f-100 to power I went to the salvage yard and looked for a 69 to 72 truck with power brakes and grab the firewall brackets off it thet are the same bolt hole on firewall as manual but the brackets that mount the booster are different than manual of course Then go to a auto parts store and order the booster and master cyl together they sell them as a complete unit around 150.00 bones for it.
