Black coating in door jambs ??? what do you think?

My truck has this same stuff (Black coating in jamb)front and rear (photo from another members truck I found searching the site) I removed this stuff from the L.H. front door opening with a stripper and found primer under this, no paint anywhere. Could this be factory? It continues onto floor of truck just beside the seat

Looks like Rhino Lining or Linex to me. I've never seen a 67-72 Ford pickup with anything like this on 'em anywhere. Plus it looks like it was nicely masked off and still retains the shine of a recent application. rick

or Hurculiner (sp). That stuff is real ruff once applied.

That's my 67 and it's Herculiner. I did the bed, interior floor and what you see in that photo as well as the fender wells.

Mark, I've seen your truck, and I really don't think that was factory. I believe a previous owner did that. I've never heard of any reference to the factory applying that stuff to the interior before.
