diffrent types of tire carrier's?
i have a "swing away" tire carrier behind my passenger side in the bed. I mistakingly assumed there was something more to it since no part of it seems to "swing away" as it were. the one i just got is similar to mine but has one hole for the bolt. the one in the truck now has two areas that are hollow....they sort of give the thing the look of a spar/beam inside a wing of a aircraft.....i don't know where the bolt goes on that one. i'll get some pictures up soon. has anyone else seen this?

re: diffrent types of tire carrier's?
The picture you posted is just the in-bed mount, not the 'swing-away' mount, which mounts the spare tire up under the bed like this:
The single hole in your in-bed mount is where the bolt goes through, and continues through one of the wheels lug holes. You just spin the tire around until one of the wheel's lug holes lines up with the bolt. The other one you're showing is just a variation of that, the longer slot means you could mount various size wheels on it. Both do the same thing and function the same way.
Hope this helps.
