The headlights have been toast ever since that thread when I posted they were. The dimmer didn't fix the problem. The headlights burned up and acted twitchy when i switched on/off the old dimmer switch. Is there a possibility that the dimmer switch that was crappy and rusty and falling apart could have burned out my headlights, or a possibility the headlights are too powerful and/or need a relay for more juice?
It's a circuit breaker built into the headlight switch, forget what the rating is right now but it's just enough for the stock incandescents. I think the SilverStars are Halogens and you probably need to wire in a relay.
Hey Keith, we need a "whiter whites" tech article.
Checked all the fuses first thing. All were fine. What rating relay should I buy for the headlights if i eventually get one? I wonder if I go get another set if they will burn up again? but yeah trust me silverstars are well worth the money IMO

BB, Who wrote that tech article on "whiter whites"? Maybe we could ask that person for permission?
