re: After Market A/C (John E. Mitchell Co.) Info
I'm wondering if that came with a bracket to reposition the wiper motor?

I'll bet you're right, Barry. And I can see now what type of A/C that is. The blower motor and A/C lines are right up there where the wiper motor would be, so I'd bet that the kit did come a special bracket to reposition the wiper motor for clearance. Here's a pic of a similar unit (this one's a Clardy), and you can see where there could definitely be some clearance issues.

I'll have to take a look at my old 69, it has a unit about identical to the one joebez95 pictured. This is the one my little brother upgraded to the sanden compressor, new lines, larger condenser, on 134. It'll freeze you right out of the cab.

re: After Market A/C (John E. Mitchell Co.) Info
The more I look under the dash the more I realize a slight "adjustment" is going to need to made to wiper motor mounting. Oh well I guess there is no avoiding it. This is the joy of these unnecessary projects. Thanks for all the help. Does anyone have a wiper mount bracket to sell. I would like a backup should I make a miscalculation. THANKS AGAIN!!!

Has anyone seen the a/c system on ebay that supposed to replace the heater box, and hide under the dash? it goes for something north of a grand but I haven't heard of them before, is it a ventage air nock off or something?

Wideguage I dunno if your talking about the one I have from Old Air Products. The Hurricane setup it takes the place of the heater and add the A/C but still half the size of the heater unit by itself. Here is a pic of it. It doesn't quite hide all up behind the dash.

I like the looks of that, but is that a heater and a a/c system. and where are you getting the fresh air from? I seen that you are using a slide gate like on the drivers side for the opening on the pass side.

Yep it's heat and A/C in one and It comes with a blockoff plate for the kick panel but I opted for the vent. I usually have it closed so it's recirculating the cooler air from in the cab.
